solid axle

i was wondering if any rangers come with a front solid axle?

Never have. Closest you can get is ones with a TTB Front axle. Not as good as a solid axle, but better then true, full double a-frame suspension

is your ranger an auto or standard? which tranny makes the truck perform better?

5 Speed manual will net you more mileage and power to the rear wheels. Some rangers have Mitsubishi FM145/146 transmissions (mine), with others and all current newer ones have the Mazda M5OD transmission. The Mazda is a stronger transmission then the Mitsubishi.
