65 tranny
hey again yall. i have a tranny ? my 65 has a 4 speed. 1-2-3 and od. standard H pattern. reverse is to the left and up. you have to push down on the shifter to get it in reverse per instructions on the shift ****. any ideas on what kind of tanny this is??? thanks yall.

Sounds like a top-shifted OD from the late '70s-80s.

The first three are the ones. I doubt it's the iron side shift, as you do not have to push down for R.
The picture is of an SROD. The top shift will have the shifter go in the top where the gears load, but will look similar to the pic.
These aluminum cased trannies are not the strongest. You have it behind a 240 or 300? It will be OK but don't hammer it.
