Steering column slack
I'll try again; I posted acouple weeks ago; about my 64 model steering column has about 1" to 1 1/2" gap between steering wheel & column. Can see in my gallery. Can't figure out how to take out this slack / gap...
Any suggestion?????????????

Loosen the clamp (piece that hangs off the dasy and has the rubber sandwirtched in between) for the column and slide it up. its only a tube held by the clamp. While holding to spec have a second person do the tightening.
And if it is that far up you have serious issues with your cab mounts.
Spec is 1/16" gap between hub and column.
