Hate to bring bad news ,,but you have the wrong flywheel..I own a starter and alternator rebuild shop and have been down this road several times.If possible the best cure would be to get a starter,and flywheel from another truck.

Im going to the junk yard here soon to get it.... if anyone disagrees, tell me now!
Before you start pulling stuff apart. Count the teeth on the fly wheel in the truck and the one you got from the junk yard. If you pull stuff apart. check and make sure that you have the proper spacer if you do pull stuff apart.

i went to Pick and Pull today and i got a flywheel but no starter. There wasnt a starter on it. The transmission was already dropped, so it was only a few bolts to get it off...
I was in a hurry and all i got was the flywheel.... was there a spacer that i was supposed to get also? I hope not or i hope that Oreillys has one....
I got an interchangeable list from the front desk and it said that a flywheel from a 91 Automatic Explorer..... i hope that they were right! lol... I will get out there early tomorrow morning and start doing some work..... wish me luck!
