EGT's & Trans Temp

on 1/2 throder i am about 1250 egts on 80 econo is this normal or is something wronge. my trans is getting 250 deg in traffic what can be wrong.

on the side right by the shifter.

I am guessing the EGT's are related to your 37's. I had the same issue when driving around 45-55 mph. It did not want to shift out of overdrive and the low RPM (1200-1300) caused high egt's when trying to accelerate. I stopped using overdrive unless driving about 70+ mph without hills. Now I changed gears to 4:56 an don't have that problem.

There is a problem with those numbers. They are way to high. What is your boost reading at 1/2 throttle? What kind of intake do you have?

Tranny's getting waaaaayyyy too hot, too. You need to get some gears or smaller tires!! I don't let mine get over 220ish, and I'm running syn fluid. If you've got dino fluid in there, you better check it. Service life goes way down at 250* temps.
