One of the things accomplished today was applying the 1/2 inch dynaliner to the firewall and installing the ABS firewall cover, throttle arm, running the speedo and clutch cable.
The next step is to drill new holes in the firewall for the newly refurbished heater.[/IMG]
I installed foil sided heat liner first on my firewall , then used 1/8" PVC over it. I tried drilling the heat liner but it is like fibre wool and just balled up. I ended up heating awl, pipe, tubing for whatever size of hole I required and "burned through".
I haven't installed Dynamat yet, but plan on doing doors, roof, rear of cab.
Nice job on yours; I built my firewall linier and it was a challenge to install alone.

Thanks Tom, I removed the fiber and replaced it with dynaliner, I would also consider after laying down the dynamat to follow it up with the liner because its and excellent thermo barrier. Once the tranny cover is buttoned up I will be laying down 1/4 inch layer of dynaliner over all the dynamat in the picture above.
If you think the firewall was tuff wait till you get to the headliner.
I used something similar in my '67 Mustang, makes a HUGE difference. Not only is there a significant decrease in road noise, there is a very very significant increase in the sound system.
A little update on the interior/dash. Finally have all the electronics working, I mean switches, lights, turn indicators, horns, wipers, heater and the radio. I can even play my Ipod thru it.
If we get some decent weather this weekend the headliner is next.
