Engine Swap

Hello (new guy from Sherman, TX)

I have a 1965 F100 with a 240 cu in 6 cylinder, 3 on thr tree.
I would like to swap in a 302. I have a few questions.
What motor mounts do I use?
Will the engine bolt to my transmission?
What do I use for the accelarator linkage?

Thanks

You would be better served to begin by asking in the 61-66 truck section, as that is a fairly common swap.

Hi Jerry, First Welcome to FTE, I am doing the same swap. what you need to find is engine perches from a doner truck that came with a 302, truck years from 70-79, i think, but not over 1979.
a 302 will fit in front of your 3 spd but i do not know about the 5.0 motors, depends on what year of motor you install,
LOKAR has a nice throttle cable, universal type, around 40-45 bucks
Good luck with your swap.

Edit: forgot to mention when you find and mount the engine perches they bolt in the back set of holes in the frame, and you will need to drill out one of the holes in the frame because it's not drilled out for the newer mounts
