Flareside Fender Patch Panels?
Does anyone know if steel patch panels are available for the lower front portion of the '61-'79 style Flareside fenders, where the fender and running board bolt together? Mine have rotted out in that spot, and since I am doing a complete restoration, I want to use the original fenders. I'd like to find a heavy steel patch for both sides that can be welded in place on the fenders and bolted to the running boards (so you can actually stand on them). None of my best catalogs (Carpenter, SoCal, Obsolete, Mac's, Sherman, Auto Body Specialties, etc.) appear to list such a product. Thanks for your help!
