Any regrets?

Just wondering if anyone is unhappy about buying the truck they did and not wait for another....I only wish I had found a 5sp.....but the 4k I found mine for and....almost 100k I have put on it since March,I can not complain one bit....other than that 4wd would have been a bonus but not needed.

I love my truck and have no regrets, mine is a 2wd too, don't really see a need for a 4x4, they just stuck in worse places and have more things that can go wrong. I definitely love the 5spd..100k since March, that's a lot of miles..

I got mine for $4K as well and I think it was a really good deal. It's been a really good truck, just a couple of little things here and there. (Busted fuel line today, nearest one is Houston 85 miles away, can't get it until Monday. Ahh, but I'll be going to get one from Rubber Duck tonight.)

However, I figured out real quick that I wished I had a 4WD. Could have used it twice already.

I wish I would have paid a little less for mine but it was exactly what I was looking for. Some days I wish it weren't black but on days its clean I love it. No regrets other than I wish the PO's had been a little nicer to it.

If you don't my asking, what are you doing now? Are you making money hauling stuff with your truck? I'd like to be doing that but don't really know how to break into it.

That sounds like a great way to make an extra buck and see a little of the country too, I'd love to get into doing that.

ron86toy, what do you think of a 1996 extended cab XLT with a five speed they are asking $5900.00 for it think I can get him down a bit how does that sound price wise. I dont know mileage yet gotta go look at it. Its a 2 WD

I have a few regular accounts and a couple ATV dealers I mainly do work for.....and some regular customers(who give great word of mouth)...on average I am on the road 10-14 days a month 4 days at a time(sometimes longer when I head west).I am trying to stay steady thru x-mas because I am going to take a month and select cut on the property for veneer and cut some firewood

Hey Norton72 have u tried the fuel injection hose from NAPA it is rated for the pressure we run and also biodiesel rated. Has a blue liner I used 2 months ago when I changed fuel pump so far no problems just get the clamps for fuel injection instead of regular gear clamps.

IMO its a good price if its in great shape with 200k on it......I found mine in Mississippi......It seen its first snowflake last week......everything around here was rusted out and 3k more than I paid.I bought from original owner so I have a folder for everything since new(1 thing I was hoping for when buying)

I got mine for $7.5K with a 121k miles and thought it was a decent price. Would have prefered a 5spd but either way i love my truck.

These are the ones with the fittings that screw onto the front of the FPR. I know the NAPA dealer here makes hydraulic lines with fittings, but that is 4000PSI line and I'm thinking the ID would be smaller than ours. Not sure if it's a good idea to use that.
