I have a few regular accounts and a couple ATV dealers I mainly do work for.....and some regular customers(who give great word of mouth)...on average I am on the road 10-14 days a month 4 days at a time(sometimes longer when I head west).I am trying to stay steady thru x-mas because I am going to take a month and select cut on the property for veneer and cut some firewood
So you are delivering 4-wheel ATV's and such as well as campers and boats? Do you have gooseneck trailer for that, or are you using a regular bumper hitch?
I could have bought a 25' flatbed GN with a 5' dovetail and loading ramps for $3K a while back... actually it's still available. It's got new tires and spare, haven't been able to check the wheel bearings though. Dual axels, pretty decent trailer. I can't buy it now, but I had the money before. Just couldn't get a good line on how to put it to work right away, so I didn't want $3000 just sitting in the yard.

Motorcycles,4 wheelers and such.....mostly bumper pull...have a GN too....everyone want enclosed now though so I am setting up a 30ft v-nose bumper pull now.
pic from last winter
i wish i had waited until about....now to buy my truck. and a 350 instead of a 250 with grey, not red interior. i paid 14k for mine when the market was wayyyyyy up in my area with 157k on it. now the market is soo low on these trucks i could have gotten 3 for what i paid for mine.
I purchased a 95 psd 4x4, ext cab, about 8 months ago. The only thing I do not like is the ttb front end. Other than that I am very happy with the truck.
I wish I would have a got a 4 door F-350 but I love my truck and dont mind the extend cab that much. I bought mine from a older guy that used it to hual his slide in camper with. So far its been a pretty good truck.
As he said I wish I would have gotten a CC, F350, 4x4, SRW, short bed (automatic), but I also love my truck and dont mind the extended cab to much. The best thing IMO is that when I bougth it, I first went to watch a Dodge (can you imagine that ), but luckily (spel) I dindt like it and my second choise was my actual PSD and now I feel very well myself, because reading and learning here, now I know that the only good thing of the other truck (I dont want to mention again ) is the Cummins. I also would liked to know about this before buying it, and ask here many thing, like prices but now I know and also Im very happy to be one of the members here, and I began from 0 of diesels to now, I know now a lot of things, thanks to all of you, but dayly, learn A LOT.
no regrets...just about 3k mi and 6 months later the only thing i would change is my own finances so that i could have more money to spend on upgrades for her.
considering my credit union told me nada at the time i purchased was $11k, i'd say i got a good deal besides!
four years ago I also paid to much and have been buried with 2wd. one time it was so bad after rocking it back and forth in the mud the whole truck looked like a lowered truck. when i opened the door, it barely cleared the ground. it was just me, my 2 ton jack and very rude people driving by and looking. in nebraska i would have had a line of people wanting to help. i wish i had taken a picture.
I love the truck that i have now. Actualy i want another one so i can have the best of both worlds. I am looking for a 96 ot 97 F-350 zf5 ext cab short bed(dont know if they made them like that?) and black. But like i said i am very satisfied with my truck.
Nursed an 88 250 w/351 engine through 220 k. Started looking and when I saw this one, I bought without hesitation. Market was high around here then but I got it with only 73 k on it. Being a short bed, 4WD is a must. That rear end just slides around in >1" of snow!
Wouldn't change a thing. The color (2 tone green) has even grown on me and I get lots of compliments on its looks. Can't argue with 20 mpg day in and day out, even when diesel is higher than premium unleaded.
