I have an '03 F-250 SD with factory foglights. The foglights only turn on when the headlights are on (with the pull out). I have seen a couple SD's running around with just the parking light and foglights on. Is there a Ford Factory switch that controls this? Or do I need to splice into my parking lights?
Certain (and I cannot remember which) years can have a jumper wire mod that you can do for fogs on with parking lights and others can Dremel down a piece that will allow it to pull out in the parking light position. A search should yield many pages. Here's a good thread. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ogs-again.html
Another solution is to buy a newer switch that pulls out when in the parking light position.
Isn't the fogs on with parking lamps a feature available with the autolamp option? I'm pretty sure it is in the F150, but not sure about the super duties.
I have an '03 and I can pull my switch in the parking light position and my fog lamps come on. If you can't pull your light switch out in that position (is it stuck?) you will either have to get another switch (assuming that your under dash harness is wired for that) or add a toggle on the dash to turn them on.
That's interesting that it doesn't do that. I have an auto lamp feature on my switch, does yours? The only mod I know that gets done is to have your fogs on with the high beams (S&S Diversified), but that is illegal in many states.
I finally picked up the autolamp switch from an '04, brand new $40. Plugged it in, and BOOM. I finally have what I wanted....Fog lights on with parking lights. No wiring.
