hmm......i never noticed that about the shackles. i have been off road a couple times since i had it did fine, and they are chevy 63 springs i believe. but deff something to look into thanks.
Wow, i looked right passed that. That is definatly something I'd pay attention too and try to fix. Couldnt imagine it would flex very good like that.
BUt I do like the look of the truck. Looks good.
sorry that was the tallest thing i could run over that didn't just crush or smash when i got on top of it.
things I hate about it:
too tall, should have just hacked the fenders
don't have full hydro, just have hydro assist
scrub radius brings the suck
shackle angles are horrible
pinion angles = meh
I actually do enjoy the extremely wide track width
I see you pointed out the faults, every project has bugs to iron out. In due time you'll get it where you want it.
It seems to me that it's just part of this whole "truck disease". Myself, I can barely get one project on my truck done and I'm already looking four more ahead . But I LOVE IT.

You could have flexed her out and crushed that GMC 'Burb, no one here would mind !

Absolutely, the fun is in building it for me. Wheeling it is good too, but I'd have no interest if I didn't build it. Just my opinion though. As soon as one project is done, I'm looking for another. I've got a long list already... As for the Burb, I actually like that thing. Its been through hell and back, and its holding up ok. She's still got time in her. I will find a car to run over sooner or later.

Hmm... I surprised you remembered my truck haha. I mean I know you've been on this board forever, but its just that I don't come around any of the boards too much anymore.
Anyways, I'm still working on it, so it will have a bed eventually. However, I've modified the plans a little bit...
Ultimately I'd like to have it with 2" 47 spline OEM shafts, full hydro, some sort of bed, bumper, cage of some sort, and either coilovers or bags. Probably bags, because this is my budget beater until I'm older and have a better financial standing in order to have a nicer rig.
Ideally I'd like to keep this truck forever, but things happen and plans change often, so I won't even pretend like that is likely to happen. Hell, if someone were to walk up with the right amount of cash right now, I'd hand over the title in a heartbeat. And turn right around and start something new.
I'll have more pictures of actual wheeling in a couple of days, and I'll post them here or in a new thread if they are worthy enough.
