I'm guessing those spiral's are straight thru, like Magnaflow's. I'm sure that V-10 is extremely loud with FM40's. I would say he used the glass packs to tone it down just a touch.
they sounds NASTY my buddy has them on his 383 camaro well had them anyway he put slp loudmouths on it and they are even louder you can't have a conversation in the car unless he pushes the clutch in and coasts lol

Because I did away with the cat. and with 2x FM 40's holy crap it was loud..... ok that was an under statement... I left the muffler shop and turn around! I placed the spiral flows on the front to slow the exhaust down before entering the FM's. It has a nice rumble to it. It sounds like a V8 with a little bit of a whistle like a turbo diesel.
I been driving with the set up for about 4 months now and it has gotten a little bit louder. I have the stock manifolds with 2.5 piping straight back. Laugh if ya'll want it sounds good... and the exhuast still has a lot of force as it exits out the back... it just doesn't have that ricer from hell sound at 1500 to 2000 rpms.
spiral flows only quiet a vehicles by 7 desibles for something with true duals its like kicking a army tank with steel toe boots
well put but it gets the job done! Spiral flow forces the exhaust gases to twist... thus slowing the exhaust gases before it enters the FM 40's.... trust me you need some to make up for the lack of the cat gone.....

....You can make a V-10 sound like a ricer from Hell? What? Does not compute.

Sound clips, please!
Don't have sounds clips avaible.
Let me explain... Trusted me I didn't believe it either.
This is why.... The V8 sounds that we all love so dear is because the engine itsself is an odd order firing engine. Which gives it, its throaty sound. 4cyclinder and V6 engines are even order firing engines. Which is why they sound like hair dryers, and that classic ricer sound. So... when you have a 6.8L engine with an extra 4-6 cyclinders it sounds HORRIBLE.
Ok, when you first fire it up it sounds like a funny car and you are like, WoW that sounds freakin' awsome! But... once you get rollin' and you hit above 1500 rpm it sounds loud and nasty... and you get the feeling of what they hell fell off my exhaust to make it sound like that? Man I thought FM's were jacked up! My truck idles at about 950 rpm's so 1500 is hit easily before 2nd gear.
Trust me if you go to the 6.8 modular forum and ask about the ricer sound, they'll try you tell too lol. I think they have sound clips on it.
just had the cats taken off completely today it dont sound like a ricer it sounds like a suped up cummins hey bill i think im going to need some cummins badges

Actually I've heard a LOT of V6 vehicles that sounded very close to V8's. But I get what you're saying! That's why my 300 CI. motor sounds so strange. I thought the Mighty V-10 would sound sweet, though. Very strange!!!!

I thought you didn't have Cats at all?????????
Can't wait to hear your truggy. I know when I had open manifolds I had the thought of keeping that way and just getting Cummins badges. Stupid I know but it sounded JUST like a Cummins.
