I am going to make up my own exhaust, but I would like to buy a 4 inch downpipe.
I have found a ton of complete exhaust systems, but have not yet found just a downpipe. Does anybody know of a place where I can get just the downpipe?
I am going to do 1 of 2 things....either:
1) route exhaust back just in front of rear wheel, and bring it through the side of the truck.
2) back into single 5 inch stack in the right hand corner of the bed.....likely a a turnout that would face straight backwards.
There is a place near me that sells 4 in mandrel bends that are bent 180^. I'll probably buy a couple of those and cut out the sections I need and then weld it all up.
I have found a few places that offer just the down pipe in exhaust parts. ITP I believe has one along with the RPMoutlet. I ran mine right at the front rear wheel with a hog muffler because when I had my windows down I couldn't hear anytihng pulling up a hill, not good for a family truck.
I just bought the downpipe. I can't remember from where though. I think I searched Amazon.com and actually got a good deal. Then I bought some 4" pipe and a 4" 45* elbow from a local truck shop and ran it out in front of the rear tire.
