Question

Leaf Springs

Hello, just picked up two new leaf springs for my 98 explorer. are there any pointers or anything I should look out for while changing. Or is it just unbolt old and rebolt new? Thanks, matt

Change only one side at a time so the other spring holds the axle where it need to be.

And be careful of the spring pressure when changing them. I know someone who was extremely hurt because they just started unbolting stuff...

OK, just changed both leaf springs, but drivers side rear is still lower 1.5" - 2" difference in height from passenger side. Rides much better shackles are in good shape, any ideas? thanks in advance, matt
