Question 77 powere assist

I need help again. My brother has a 77 F250 highboy. It has the power assist steering, it leaks out of the ram by the tie rod. and it leaks out of the piece , where the lines run in "whatever its called". I know they sale the ram through LMC, but they don't sale the other piece. My other brother had a 76 that he bought and the guy he bought it from said that he had the power assist both pieces rebuild in California somewhere. Does anyone know where I could get this done, or is there a kit to do it. I know you can convert it to the 78, 79 steering, but i'm not sure how to do it. I don't have access to a welder. Im not much on fabricating, but I do must of the repairs on all six trucks in the family. Can you tell we love these old Fords?

^ ^ Bendix P/S Control Valve ^ ^

All 1973's, 1974 Hi-Boy's before serial number T80,001 use a Garrison P/S Control Valve & Ram.

1974's after serial number T80,001, all 1975 thru 1977.5 Hi-Boys use a Bendix P/S Control Valve & Ram.

The ram mounting kit that includes bushings, the control valve and ram seal kits for both the Garrison & Bendix P/S systems are available from Ford, NAPA, obsolete parts suppliers.

I already identified it, see above.

It's the Bendix system.

See that triangular shaped part that's attached to the valve?

It's shown in close up in your post #2, which I quoted in my post #5.

It's part of this: D4TZ3A533A .. Stud Kit / The Pitman Arm attaches to it.

Only the Bendix system uses it. The Garrison system does not.

I edit and edit and edit and edit...till the one hour time allowed runs out.

It's a good idea to go back and read my posts again in an hour or so for further info.

Not your fault at all.

You have fallen victim to the Big Dummy's posting procedure, where EDITING is a way of life.

First I typed this: ^ ^ Control Valve ^ ^

Then after I found the parts catalog illustration I added this: Bendix.

Then I added the info inre to the triangular shaped stud kit, that positively points to the Bendix system.

I edited THIS post three times.

My typing stinks. Using a lap top with ham hands doesn't help much, either.

When first posted, what comes out is akin to hieroglyphics: Beq9n[-f dix nxdosjm1nvpsr2!

I need to correct all this scheiss, so y'all can make sense of what's typed.
