I'm going to be replacing the power assist ram (bendix) on my 77 f250 as it is leaking. I don't imagine this will be too difficult, but I'm unsure as to the proper way to bleed the system.
I've searched the forums and I now know way more than I did about the system overall, but no idea how to properly bleed it.
Is it just a matter of replacing the ram, then jacking up the front end and cycling left/right a few times? Any help from your experience is very much appreciated!

That's pretty much it, though it will probably be more like 60-80 times, there's a lot of hose/line to bleed all the air from, remember to use type F .
Thank you so much for the reply! I'll do it 100 times!
This should be fun...

<Montana is not wrong, but 100 times is a little excessive. Those arriated bubbles can be a bitch. Just drive it or let it sit overnight after cycling it a few times will work.
Thanks for the link! That one didn't come up in my search. This will surely save me lots of time/labor. I really appreciate all the help. Hopefully I can contribute something soon!
