Who knows where I can find the weights of different tires. For example, what does a 35" Bogger weigh? I checked the Interco website for this particulare tire and could not find a weight.
Solid evidence I don't have but it's around 60 lbs I think.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .
That's it for mods now, saving for a Stang. Check out my Gallery for a look-see.
The tire weights are really hard for the manufacturers to post because they vary so much. I don't know the exact weights, but the 10 ply steel belted 38" Swampers I had on 16.5x9.75 aluminum wheels weigh alot more than my 44" Dick Cepek 6 ply on 16.5x12 Weld wheels.
That might be because you can spin the 38s faster than the 35s in mud at the same RPM.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-Sep-02 AT 03:42 AM (EST)]what kinda time differences we talkin? surface? could be difference in tread? if ure runnin 35 boggers, the gumbo's might do better on one surface, while boggers are better on the other? hell i dont know
me--->
All season I have been racing with my 35s at two different tracks. I run 35X15X15 TSL Swampers on 15X10" wheels up front and 16/35-15 Boggers on 15X14 wheels on the back. I have consistently run in the low 5s at both tracks. Well, Sat. night I didn't feel like changing tires, so I left my 38s on and I got into the high 4s. The track we ran Sat. night has the lightest mud of the two. I've been thinking ever since that probably three factors came into play; 1, the 38s must be lighter 2, I can turn them up faster because they get less traction 3, more speed at same engine rpm.
I highly doubt the 38s are lighter than the 35s. I think the two major players are traction from the tread and the thing i said "higher speed at same RPM".

I called National Tire & Wheel yesterday and they can give you all the weights for any tire or wheel they sell. Turns out those boggers are 82lbs. each.
Interesting, not a 1/2 bad guess for someone who's never felt the tire before hehe.
