they are just a big all terrain! they wear very well and you can put a lot of miles on them before the show any wear. they are pretty quiet but they are big tires so they won't be silent! their performance suffers from having good street manners. if you can air down your tires low enough (1-2 psi) they would prolly do pretty good on the rocks...but they don't don't much better than BFG a/t's in mud and sand! i have heard good things about them in icy conditions but since I live in Ga the most ice we see is from our freezers.

I have a buddy who runs 39.5 STSs and his words are "They suck in the mud, no comparison to my TSL Radials. In the snow they rock!" They do make sound goin down the highway, dont' know how noticable in the cab it is but outside you really hear 'em howl.

A friend of mine has the 44x21-15s on his and when riding in the cab, you can't hear them....of course he's got a blower, so . They are BALOONS!!! I personally don't care for the tread pattern, but he likes 'em for what he does (pavement pounding).
