Anybody here running the Interco (Super Swamper) Trxus M/T or STS tires? Was wondering if they're as great on pavement as the ads claim as well as how they hold up mileage wise. I was either looking at 35s or 37s, preferably 37s. Thanks for any info you guys can generate me!
A friend of mine has a set of 35x12.50x16's on his '78 Chebbie 2500. They do pretty good offroad, and are suprisingly quiet on the road and handle good. No vibrations either. Cant help ya with the mileage. He's only had the truck a few months now...
me and my buddy put a set of 33x12.50x16 radials on his full size truck and they rode smooth and did good in the mud for radial mt's. nice sidewall for radials also!
I've got a set of M/Ts going on my '95 F150 here soon. I bought them used from my work. Looking at them and reviews they look like a fairly good tire. 33x12.5-15. I'll let ya know how they do when the truck is on the road, if its not too late by then.
Not to break rules by bringing up an old thread but... if your looking at these tires, get them. I drove around with these tires for a couple weeks and they are awesome. They handle the road well, rain or shine, and are insane in mud. I made a couple passes through one of my buddy's pits after a couple days of rain. Once you spin those tires up, they dig in and just grab like no other.
I only took them off for some smaller 31" tires for mileage and handling. And I didn't want to wear down these tires on the street, I want them for messing around in.
Good tires, but do suffer from Interco's quality control at times. I ran a set on my former Range Rover here in NY state and they were a great all around tire. Good in the mud, on the road, in the snow, and even on ice. They took a lot of weight to balance them, but once they were balanced they ran great.
Had a valve stem get cut on a weekend wheeling event and had a 2 hour road trip the following week. The valve stem failed at 70 mph and between the tire maintaining it's shape and the Rover's beadlocking rims the Rover handled the blowout without issue. Great tough tires.
