Backup Sensors Adjustment

I have looked through these forums but unable to find the answer. Is there a way to adjust the backup sensors. They go off constantly even with nothing behind me. I have a 2004 Ford F150 4x4 with 4 sensors on the back bumper. Thanks in advance for your help.

Mine did that too for a while... at one point, the beep was constant...

Turned out to be a defective sensor... They aren't cheap either. It was replaced this summer...

I also have a 2004.

I would check the sensor. I don't think there is a way to adjust them.

They will go off if the tailgate's down.

If they're going off with the tailgate up, and nothing behind you for 6 ft, they need to be checked. I don't believe they're adjustable either.
