So do you get a lot of black smoke with take-off since it is adding fuel to the low end?? Im on stock tuning, but ive got new HG's and ARPS. I tow a lot is the reason i dont run a tuner. Im thinking about trying this mod out.
From all the recommendations, when towing heavy its not advisable to run a tune. Most i have talked to said take it back to stock. I just dont wanna have to switch back and forth with tunes. Im not lookin for huge power but it would be nice to not have that initial dead space
Right on, is there a weight limit on towing with a tune? EGTs were my main concern with towing, second was i dont mind some black smoke but i just dont want a ridiculous amount. Also, im not sure how many miles are on my clutch, i hear of guys with manuals putting tuners in then needing a clutch?
Depends on the tune for weight. I would say 60hp over stock or less in a heavy tow designed tune. Some have a 80hp tune for towing. Tunes with a lot of smoke are generally performance oriented not tow tunes.
so if im running a 6L with edge juice with attitude that allerady plugs in to that sensor then can i use this product or can it be inline i havent seen boost hit over 25 psi yet
you don't want to boost more if you aren't studded
When I had My edge before I realized they were bad for a 6.0 I could fine tune the parameters through the back user menu's and have the edge display recall tell me I hit 31psi
Boost and Abuse can blow a h/g but can easily be avoided with a little user responsibility. We have done over a 150 head gasket jobs in that last 2 years and 99.5% of them have been caused by EGR Cooler Failure, not a chip, tuner of boost builder.

How many of those 150 had the round 2003 type egr cooler and how many had coolant filters would you say?
