Amsoil

Any input to using the amsoil 5-40 synthetic diesel oil at 10k miles?? I live in Alberta Canada and it gets a tad chilly... I have about 2k miles on the truck right now, changed the oil at 1750 miles. Also, any input as when to change the diff oils?? This is my first diesel and I want to make sure I look after it!!!

just did a search on amsoil and see why there is no response, it goes into detail about there oil and advertising, what is everybody using for a synthetic oil????

Both Mobil and Motorcraft offer full synthetic 5W-40 oils that would work great in your truck...

The Amsoil works great in these trucks! I run it 10,000 miles and take samples every 5,000 with a filter change,and everything is good. The sample company recommends that I actually run it longer.
