I cant speak in terms of recent purchase, but I have purchased their product in the past, albeit expensive as hell, it was of good quality.
After recent conversations, their reps dont seem informed on the ford 300 or their product, that concerned me.
If you know what part you need and cant source it elsewhere (which anything the ford 300 could ever need, can be sourced elsewhere), only then Id purchase from clifford performance as product quality wise, I cant complain.
There service was good before the owner/founder Jack Clifford passed away. After he died a relative took over the business and it has gone right down the crapper.
You can get just about anything they offered elsewhere for cheaper. The only thing they sold that isn't offered elsewhere are the aluminumt finned valvecovers and mutlicarbed intakes. And for that stuff I just watch ebay and buy them used.
Are you talking about your smog-exempt '75? Beware a lot of 300 parts are not CARB approved & you won't smog if you have to. I talked to Clifford a long time ago about this. They were CARB on their Jeep stuff, but "hadn't gotten around" to the Ford.
I have purchased all the parts for my Ford 300 from Clifford Performance and I can say I have no complaints. Larry is friendly, helpful, and honest. Are they expensive? You bet. Is it worth the premium price? My grandfather once told me, “you get what you pay for”. So in my humble opinion, yes, it’s worth the premium price.
