Has anyone run the 6=8 set up for the 4.9l. It looks interesting but I have heard some nasty things about some of their products, specifically the cam.
Not on the Ford 300, but I did have a Clifford setup on the 258 in my '75 CJ5. I never had it dynoed or anything, but while I wasn't really disappointed in the outcome I can't say I was overwhelmingly happy with it either. I felt that I lost some low end drivability, and possibly gas mileage in exchange for some higher-end power that I really didn't use much.
That said, it would still idle down in low range better than the 302 in my Bronco, so it certainly wasn't bad at low rpm, and it definitely pulled stronger than stock higher on the power curve. So take it all for what little it's worth.
