Question Diesel Mechanics?

Well my searches aint been to good. I want to go to college for Powerstroke Diesel Mechanics. Preferably OBS but Powerstroke in general. If yall can help me out in searching for a college that offers this type of a course I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance

I do not know of any Powerstroke schools but I know of a few trade schools that offer diesel mechanics. In Connecticut there is Baran Institute, they have a web page, but they offer diesel mechanics. I also see the advertisement for UTI all the time on TV.
But as far as powerstroke only schools, can't say I've heard of any.

You will have a hard time finding what you are looking for. Most Automotive programs focus on gassers and most of the diesel programs focus on over the road trucks.

If I were to do it all over again I would have gone to one of the local (within and hours drive) Community colleges auto programs and stayed working for my Dad. I already knew much of what the course taught so going to a "good" school was nearly a waste of time for me.

to learn the powerstroke your best bet is to get in with the dealership. ford has a college program called ASSET. it will get you all the training from front end, suspension, drivability to base repair and electronics. its a 2 year course and you will be certified in all areas. you go to school for 2 weeks then go to work at the dealer for 2 weeks. this covers all gas engine and some diesel. there is a specific diesel and powerstroke class in the mix as well. if you want some reading material i should have some powerstoke learning books around here somewhere
