Rear Diff. size?

Rear Diff. size?
I have a 2001 F150 Super Crew. I am not sure what size the rear diff is, 8.8" or bigger. Here is the VIN if that helps 1FTRW08L61KE55641.
What diff. oil(brand) would be the best to put in it and how much(2.6qt or more)?

Thank you. Yes I have the 5.4L. I did some searches on the site here and did find one thread that said to look at the tags attached with the cover bolts. So I just got back in from looking and it has the 9 75 on the tag located on the passenger side, which to my understanding would be the 9.75".
As far as the amount I believe the manual calls for 2.6qts for both the 8.8 and 9.75, is that correct? Do I need to add the friction modifier also?

Ok, well I keep answering my own questions. Just to make sure though, on the door sticker....it says 'AXLE' and there is a 19 under that. That means I have a NON-LS diff. correct? Therefore no friction modifier.

You are correct. You have a 3.55 open diff, no modifier required. I'm suprised that youhave an open diff, I thought the Supercrew's mostly came with an LS diff. I think the 3.73 ratio wasn't available until 03. I wish I had the 3.73 for more off the line pull.

Thank you. Has anyone used SuperTech gear oil from Walmart? It all comes from the same spot in the ground so why not...plus it's $5 a bottle cheaper.

i have used the wal mart- good stuff. it is imortant to use the full synthetic. it will help with gear whine, run cooler, and is the new spec for FORD.
