Cool. Actually the trucks I'm looking at online are in Anchorage. Ex state of Alaska trucks at a dealer there. I would like a 12, 6.7 but might go with a 6.2.
I'm also building our home this summer so money is tight . But without a skookum plow truck , life will be extra challenging at the homestead.
I am planning to take whichever vehicle to Different Strokes to have a bumper to bumper inspection done before I buy.
Do you know of a real good place to take a 6.2 truck to have a good diagnostic inspection done.
Not on here to much anymore but still here in Chickaloon. Just helped a friend sell a 08 F350 with a V plow on Friday! It was a really nice truck but transmission was acting up but she didn’t need the truck. I’m sure you probably saw it. Black with king ranch interior and stainless v plow.

I've mostly had old trucks and worked the tar out of them. But my next one needs to be a real , good highway and work truck/plow truck.
Often I will need to plow my way out to get to work and plow my way in to get home at night.. Not all the time . but we get lots of steady wind.
It had a replacement motor put in with only 30,000 miles. Had it’s issues as a plow truck but still all around nice. Wish I could have afforded it but I like my 7.3 reliability. I understand the plowing. I plow a lot here just with all the drifts we get. Lots of wind this winter.
Im not sure if 1023 Diesel would look over a truck but could try them. I know they specialize more in diesel.
I called and talked to Different Strokes. They seem to be really lined out on Power Strokes. The said they aren't a gasser shop but they could plug the truck in and see what they can read. But they also do bumper to bumper brakes, bearings, u joints and cv joints , rust , glass ect.ect. for $250.00 and they give an itimized quote for repairs need . If needed.
They also do the Bullet Proof .
I'm. A driver and operator, Not a mechanic. So I need a good outfit I can rely on.
