c6 reverse problem

c6 reverse problem
I have a C6 trans that I remove the hard pieces from a big block trans to a small block trans and it slips bad in reverse and high gear. I air tested the case with out the valve body in and it is ok, the check ball is in the valve body, all of the valves feel free what could be the problem in the valve body or in the trans?

It sounds like the problem will be with the direct drum ( the one behind the pump ). It is both third and reverse. Could be a problem with the sealing rings or the piston seals or the clutches.
