The install on the Ford OEM (Code Alarm) was easy, the programing would have been easy if the instructions made sense. I have installed several remote starts by bulldog security and viper ...... about the same amount of time on the actual wire spicing but then you were done and it worked. I wanted the EOM fob and the features with this system ..... doors unlock when I turn the key off, press and hold the lock button and the windows roll up (via relays and utilizing the liftgate feature for the excursion), 30 sec delay on start, and 15 min run and acouple others. I didn't leave home either but again I live here....... lol

One correction on my eariler post Step 1 = door open, foot on brake, turn key on, press and hold over-ride button (up to 15 sec) untill you get 3 honks release button. Then press it again for 4 honks etc....

I'm thinking you still need one (I don't knoe for sure), Since the diesels don't have a distributor, the brain box still needs a signal to let it know that the truck is running. Mine would not remote start untill I programed the tach inverter into the brain box.

Ordered the tach inverter from a ford website and they said I don't need it b/c per ford the 07 don't need it. Should I still get it or tell them I don't need it?? I have an 07 has anyone done it on an 07 I would have to guess it is the same as the earlier years but please any input??

ok i ordered all the parts listed in previous post, but been doing some research and looks like i ordered wrong stuff. I dont need a tach invertere and i need a 34 brain box not 32. I came to this conclusion by reading the pdf's eod guy sent me but am not 100% sure if it is correct. i would have to think what i ordered will work b/c for the most part ford keeps there stuff the same throughout the years. Has anyone installed on a 07?? what part numbers and parts do you need?? i guess we will find out when i get all the parts.

Jumping to conclusions but looks like i am not gonna need the tach inverter or the silver kit or the t harness or the brain box r32 that i bought. all i need is the remote start kit for the 2007 it is one kit and just plugs into the truck and need some splicing of wires. I am gonna order this kit so i am not gonna need the other things i ordered so they will be for sale PM me for a price if interested. thank you if anyone finds any info please let me know gonna post on the audio/video threads to see if anyone can confirm this.

I have remote start in my truck, I think, there's a book in the owners manual for it at least. However I don't have any fobs for the truck. Is there any way to check and see if I have it, and where might I get a fob for it?

Also, how does that work in cold weather, if the glow plugs need to prime before the engine starts? Will the system automatically wait for the glow plug light on the dash to go out?
