ok here is the deal, i have the Tn turbo, i keep hearing how much better the Garrett turbo is. I'm not happy with the performance of the TN, could I send that back and get a new one? then sell that one and get a garrett? Or won't TN take it back else its broke?
Take something and put it into the compressor wheel when it's running, maybe it will break it..
Just kidding, don't do that. What are you really looking to get out of the turbo other than a crazy-*** loud annoying whistle? You've got stock injectors, it's not like the turbo isn't cleaning up the fuel or being unresponsive... What about it arent you happy from?

I'm not happy with stock injectors that the EGT's are getting too high, what will happy this winter when bigger injectors go in? This turbo doesn't make any more hp than the stock one did. The garrett has a lot more top end performance, where this TN does not
38R didn't give me more power with stock injectors. In fact, after putting it on I went right back to the race track and ran identical times as before with the stocker. But it did lower my EGT's at WOT, and it doesn't surge like the stock turbo did. Plus it is capable of handling the big oil system that I later added to my truck, something that probably would have eventually killed the stock turbo.
There are issues with the TN BB turbo, to the point that TN has now discontinued them. All they are doing now is honoring the warranty period on them, so you won't get a new one unless some vendor somewhere has one left in stock. They are looking closely at the turbos to see if they have been abused prior to warranty work, so don't try to intentionally sabotage it.
Unfortunately there are a lot of unhappy TN owners out there, with the same issues of spoolup, EGT's, and failures. On the flip side, there are other TN owners who have been very pleased with the setup. But if you aren't happy now with it, I doubt there is anything TN can do at this point.
