Guess I'm not following you. You want your engine running/idling, this is the only way to turn the pump fast enough to pump the fluid through the cooler and booster and out the return line into the jug. Maybe I should have said start the engine instead of crank.

I see. I thought you could just crank it a little here and there to pump out the fluid but you have to have it running you said. Guess we will have to do it that way.

And don't expect the fluid to come out of there constantly. It really only comes out when you pump the brake. I did mine myself -- start the engine (and some does trickle out), pump the brake a couple times, top off reservoir, pump brake some more, top off, repeat until cherry red ATF comes out. All the while turning the steering wheel back & forth. You might want to put the front end on jack stands or park in a field with soft dirt so you don't wear a flat spot in your tires.

EDIT: And you might keep going for another half quart or so. Mine came out cherry red after only a quart and a half +/-.

Yep, running, thus the need for the long neck funnel. A short one with the fan blowing air will make a mess, I know.
