Part Identification

Hey, I don't want to freeze this winter again, so I need some help determening the right part to fix. I've gotten some help with previous threads on this subject but heater still no worky.

The problem I'm having is the truck's heater don't put any heat out what so ever. I've replaced the a/c heater controls on the dash, still no worky. I'm pretty sure I've narrowed the bad part to the door blend thingy. Now my question now, is it called the "Actuator". This is where I'm looking for the parts Th!nk Parts Guy

Thanks!

And you are positive that a heater core shut off valve has not been installed, and is not stuck in the closed position, right?
I seem to remeber that some 02 and 03 thrucks had these from the factory, and it is also the cold air mod I have done to my truck.

I haven't done that mod Brandon, but thanks for the heads up. I'll check that right now.

If the control valve is opening the hose going to it and the one leaving toward the heater core should both feel like they are at the same temp. If the the inlet hose feels warmer then the outlet hose the valve is closed. It is vacumm operated so make sure the vacumm line is attached.

Yep, hoses will be hot before the valve, and cool behind the vavle(near the firewall)
On most, default position is open, but if you have been running MAX A/C all summer then the vavle may be stuck in the closed position.

You could also simply remove it from the hose and put in a bridge pipe.
That would give you full flow no matter what.
