brake light anomolies
(Front is Front)
Left brake light out - changed bulbs -still no worky. Checked voltage at pigtail - brake light gets nothing.
I get the schematic for help.
So....
Right brake light works but left rear does not when pedal is depressed.
But...... when right turn signal blinker is activated and I press on the brake the left brake light works fine.
I checked voltage from the pigtails to the "all weather" connectors by the frame. No voltage on the left brake unless the right turn signal is on.
I'm thinking it's the multifunction "turn signal" switch.
Am I correct?
I'm trying to fix this before my daughter heads to Houston this Sunday so I've got one day and don't think a fix will happen in time.
But If I can isolate the issue (I do think it's the turn signal switch) then at least she'll know what it is and can get some family to help.
Any help would be appreciated.

It could take a couple of hours to replace if you've never replaced one before.
Make sure you disconnect the negative battery terminal before
working on the steering column.
The only special tool required is a steering wheel puller which can be rented
from some auto part stores.
