We love you guys and enjoy our time together. Unfortunately I had no idea about any of these get togethers. Besides, Atlanta area is about 4 .5 hours away. Not a whim trip and not one I can say I will attend with my schedule. I am not pointing any fingers. I usually attend one diesel event a year and now I have to find one. It looks like TS is the one this year for me. Beans doesn't count because if I have the time off I will drive the 1.2 hrs to that. Do you feel me?

I believe we told many people over the course of 2 or 3 months what we were doing here.

This past Saturday we had a gtg at Dunbars place that was very much like Smokin. He had his dyno running and we did the food. People came from SC, NC and south GA.

I will try and feel it as soon as we get back from our 22 hour round trip to a 2 day dyno event in PA in 2 weeks.

It not an easy drive, but we make it every fall. Believe me if we had the facilties Smokin would be right here in Ga so we wouldn't have to drive anywhere to put on our own event.

I guess I didn't think about that since we have never asked our customers to make posts for us.

I didn't see the thread running with everybody planning and asking if all the family was welcome. Or posting pictures of last year's fun. Still, not that big of a deal Diane. A bunch of people were planning on having fun at a familiar place. This year they just might do it some place new. Again....DP tuning rocks.

Diane sorry for overreacting alot of us just got our hopes up and were ready for it again like Jason said. Maybe if at all possible FTE could lead the way for a GTG instead of TDG since we are a pure ford and 7.3L forum.

...and there you have it. 22 hr round trip. It takes me 20 hrs to drive to my mothers house. I know how bad it sucks. I also know your event should be a success. You and Jody are good people and I wish you well.

I was just looking forward to seeing you and Jody again and trying to get a bigger crowd at G-Burg this time. We'll see you next time, whenever that is.

Thanks Mega.

You guys know how we feel about everyone in this forum. When I read people were actually making reservations for an event that hasn't even been scheduled yet. To a place where it was assumed it would be again, I felt I needed to jump in and quickly tell you what I knew so far about the events whereabouts. I thought I was doing good by posting it now before too many people made family vacations to G-burg in hopes to attend Smokin. Only to find out it was being held elsewhere.

I will be carry on with posting, but I will not comment anymore on Smokin. All are welcome to attend from any and all forums. That the way it has always been and that will never change.

Diane
