Guys,
I hate to be the bearer of the news, but Before making any reservations theres IS going to be a change this year. Wayne who's family owns Aventure bound camping resorts also has a campground, Eagles Peak Campground in PA. go to www.abcamping.com and you will find information about the campground. At the request of many around the US we have decided to take Smokin on th road. We were asked if Smokin would ever come to CO and the anwser is it is a possibilty. Jody and I passed this years organizaton over to Wayne and he is living in PA now. Having to organize it for G-burg would have been a nightmare being he is 10+ hours away. He has many resources right there in PA to be able to pull off yet another Awesome Smokin. This year there will be a sled pull, dirt drags and massive GTG at Eagle Peak. For many of you who do not know the area Eagles peak will actually be a better facility to have the event since it is growing every year.
There are places near by like in G-burg for the ladies to go for shopping and of course the historical adventures for everyone to see. Be looking for this to go on the www.smokinevents.com website soon.

Reading this really sucks for me. It was decided to be in PA because that is where Wayne lives. Please understand mine and Jody's position also. We had to pack everything up and take it 3.5 hours away and take off a week of work to do Smokin last time. I only posted this because it need to be said it wasn't in Gburg. Most everyone I have talked to are making arrangments to have their vacations to Pa instead. It would be no differnet if we had it here in GA. There would be numbers of people not being able to come because it would be too far them as well.

I received an email from Wayne this am. He is in the process of making the track arrangments. When he has all of this finalized he will make the event announcment on TDG and smokinevents.com. Eveyone please remember he is charge of organizing Smokin '09, it was only logical for it to be held in PA.

I understand Diane. I do appreciate the early heads-up! I do hope there is a good turn out in PA, I know that the new location change will hopefully allow alot of other PSD enthusiasts to attend a Smokin event that have not already been to one.
