I'm a west of the Rockies guy born and raised but transplanted to the MW. Even I don't see how Smokin in PA has anything to do with Smokin in the Smokies. And yes I've been to Gatlinburg, I think it would be a great place to maiden voyage a 5er we want to pull to Oregon in June....They can have Smogin in PA (I know, I know it's not all city) but there could be some serious FTEing in Gatlinburg....

Well I am glad they came out and made the proper announcement. I feel like an idiot telling work that I have a must attend event in April that I need time off for but dates are shaky. PA is OUT. NOT GOING.

So now I think the must attend event may be the TS diesel event in Bowling Green for me if they have another one this April. I passed last year to go to Smokin, but may just hit BG for the TS event if they have it this year.

Good for you northeast folks. Have fun. As if PA needs another event?

As much as I hate to agree with my bud I've never met. I do. I would definitely go see the "big name" "big power" guys of any brand at TS before I drove all the way to the PA.

Edit: Mike I think you don't have to worry about the TS event happening. You know the names, they all go there.

Thanks Jason. The more I think about it, the more I like it. Huge facility up there, everything is close, full 1/4 mile strip. Now that's what I am talking about. I saw the pics from last year's event. It was BIG.

I am with you on that Mike, PA already gets all the big events. Apprently Beer, Dyno and Drags is no longer enough . Hopefully we can pull together somekinda FTE meet next year.

And you are more than welcome to stay in the new 5er. It is not that big of a deal. There are events that happen every year no matter who shows or who cares. Indiana has Scheids, Indianapolis DHRA and the O'Reilly Auto Parts Invitational Jamboree. Kentucky has TS Outlaw that I know of. Probably more. I'm not going to PA.....

I've never been to any. But of the few internet places I frequent, the ford friends made are the memories and the big power guys running the track and pulling the sleds are the fun. I think that can happen anywhere.

Brandon and I went to the one in Steele, AL, it was interesting but real cold that night. Where is the information about the TS? I need dates and location so I can research it.
