See this yesterday and i am not at all impressed by these fugures. Do they really think that 6.9% or $2000 i a great deal??? The economy is in a bad way and they need to lower these % rates more than 6.9%. Even toyota are doing 0% apr now.
Ford just doesn't get it. These new trucks will sit on the lots right next to the 08's.
For you guys wanting one of these new 09's, have patience,
Give Ford a few months and all of them will have giant rebates.
Well, you can't sell a truck at a loss. In order to sell at 0% they have to obtain cheap money from an outside source because they don't have the money themselves right now. Right now... obtaining money is difficult. Toyota is in a better cash position. So long as a vehicle moves you don't drop rates but since its not even on the lots yet dropping rates is premature, and would result in under-cutting 08's already on the lots.
I'm sure Ford has analyzed this and gets it more than a bunch of arm-chair quarterbacks on a web forum think they do!

They are trying to offer me 0% apr on mazda and 0.9% on 09 mazdas so i cant see why they cant do this for the fords. Even the mustangs have a lower apr than the trucks. They seem to be trying it on at the moment.
Well while Ford owns a large chunk of Mazda, I do not believe that have full controlling interest in that brand. As for mustang APR..... what is easier to sell as the winter months approach? Not the 'stang, I can assure you. They are trying to move 'em out while they still have a chance... being more aggressive.
