I emailed the man that owns this van. He says it came with a 6.9, but he spent 3000 to have a engine out of a 99 Ford F250 put in. According to him, and I tried to argue with him, but he swears it is not a Powerstroke, it is a 7.3 IDI, not powerstroke. But he also swears it came out of a 99 truck.
When I was going through my Reviva fiasco on of the 7.3 turbo engines I got from them had 1996 7.3 IDI turbo paperwork.
Since International never turbocharged the IDI, and Ford dropped the IDI in 1994, I have no idea where that engine came from or what it was in originally.
All the 99 F250's had the second generation 7.3 Power Stroke's in them though.
And I don't think you could fit the turbo in an E series anyway.
He swore the engine came out of a 99. He also said he recently bought a fuel filter and a starter for it, told them 99 F350 and all the stuff fit. I don't see any engine pictures on there.
I think it was '06, the invoice was from '03 and I doubt they had a card that expired 5 years later. Plus they usually have the same # with just a different year. Not that anyone here would do anything with it, just an observation.
