Good question...in Massachusetts they have been making an effort to make sure folks appear for jury duty...by issueing arrest warrants for those who don't!!!

I live less than a mile from the court house...so...no excuses!!!

Good morning boys!

Well I am all "girly'd up" and about to leave for jury duty....... I have about a 15mile drive to the court so I don't know if no fuel money will work.

Not much to see, Ken. LOL.

I am sitting here in the jury pool room and I am overdressed for this thing. I should have worn my jeans and I would have fit right in, oh well.

Do they have WiFi in the jury room or are you using a PDA?

The courthouse is at the SE corner of Gilbert & Warner, right? There's always Pei Wei or the movie theater.

That's pretty much how folks show up for jury duty around here also. I've always dressed in tie...sport coat...etc. I believe those who don't aren't respecting the system.

I couldn't belive how some people were dressed, the summons said business attire so I dressed like I did when I had a job. One guy had on cargo shorts, tee shirt and tennis shoes. I think some people dress like that in hopes that they won't get picked for a jury.

I am back home now, there were 2 cases today that needed a jury. One of the cases settled this morning and the defendant didn't show in the other one so we were sent home around 10am. Got all girlyfied for nothing

GGA ("Good God Almighty") - have you any idea what "Business Attire" constitutes for an RV tech or a transmission mechanic?

Burn holes in a set of rented uniform trousers, collect the wildest tee-shirts you can find, then douse them completely in every kind of grease, oil, paint, dust, and a certain amount of "Plumbing Effluent" that you can find - then wash all except the stains and the smell out. Show up already sweat soaked - it lends authenticity to the entire package...

If anyone turns up their little nose you can say: "Salesman, aren't you? I'm the son of a bitch that made it sell..."
