I dragged a pork butt roast home a few days ago, cut some steaks off it and the rest went into an electric skillet. As of midnight I now have some promising looking "SCRAPPLE" made by blasting the tender meat with a mixing wand and adding Masa Harina until it was thick enough to stand a wooden spoon up in it...

(Awesome German breakfast food. You chill it in a rectangular baking pan and cut slices to fry up with eggs)

Unfortunately - I am now out of imported brew, not to mention Rhine Wien...

Good Morning, Ken, Mark, Dutch and anyone else lurking around.....
I'm going out to work on my truck this morning, Doing the Brakes all the way around, Of Corse! the first one i pull was the rear.... found a leaking axle shaft seal. Guess it wasn't the slave cylinder leaking after all.

Well anyways, the Shoes are all soaked with oil and need to be replaced.

If it's not one thing, It's another!

It's been nice today. A bit breezy, as usual, but warm and sunny.

Tomorrow ... different story. We're expecting showers & thunderstorms throughout the day. It's a good thing there's good cable at this hotel.

Evenin' everyone. Hope you guys had a great weekend.

Mark, you ready for the big day this week?

Bart, how is the arm feeling?

Not much happening her today, we drove by the Gilbert city court house to check out the parking situation just in case they call my number for jury duty on Tuesday. I have to call a number after 4 tomorrow to see if I got picked. I am hoping they call my number, think it will be very intersting to see how it all works. After that we went to my moms to see my little sister, she just had her ACL replaced on Friday, and of course I had to see my baby Bilstein. Got a picture of him next to my shocks today. LOL.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Wow ... slow month for the chat thread.

Ahh the nice weather in Oklahoma City is nearing its end. Current forecast here at the airport is calling for thunderstorms starting at 4am. Should last for quite a few hours; this system is not exactly a fast mover.

I'm just hoping the weather on Wednesday will be nice. Makes the job so much easier.

Ya'll have a good night!

The wife & went to our local high school homecoming last night, to watch our high school football team beat up Incline Village from Lake Tahoe 50-0. We are undefeated at 5-0. Two of those wins were against 3-A schools, (we are a 2-A) both of those wins were 49-6 & 55-15. Our little town really gets behind our high school sports & schools.
I have been helping out around the local hot rod shop. I always wanted to be a mechanic's helper. So after 20 years as a jouneyman mechanic I'm now a helper. When you work for free you always have a job. This shop is going to do the engine on our Blazer & I will help out. I will enjoy being involved.
This week I go back to working with horses. I have had people ask me if I would trim their horses hooves. I was a professional Farrier before I retired. I studied under a farrier who was a member of the 1984 US Olympic Farrier team. The host country provides a team of Farriers to shoe all the horses in the summer games. I have been out of it for 10 years so I'm excited to do it again, but unsure how my body will hold up. So a little fear also. As for doing the work I spent 7 years doing it full-time so remember what I need to know is clear in my mind.
Good night everyone.
