What's causing that Terra is the fact that now we think there is a possibility, however remote, that one of us could come out to our truck sometime and find the unmistakable imprint of someones junk on our windshield.

We need to heal, and in dealing with the thought of such a traumatizing event laughter is indeed the best medicine.

As odd as the behavior that prompted the application of those particular items to your windshield may be, it was presumably directed to a member of the opposite 'camp'.
