What you need to get is the D3TE high nickle 390 SCJ block. they can be bored to the 460 size and put in a 460 crank then you two should be even !!!!

There never was a "390 SCJ" engine.

The "high nickle" thing has been known to cause quite a commotion here in the forums... Anyone talking about "high nickle" blocks being hard to cut, are probably working on a previously overheated engine

I can build you a 390 that will beat your buddy's 460.
But your checkbook might "sting" a little bit....

Krewat, I know that, I was just "funnin'" with those "Kids".
Barry, How much "sting" are you talking ? ( BTW, I'm Posford on the other sites ). I'm trying my darndest to save up for a 4.25" stroker kit from ya. I've got a good .040 over 428 block, "worked" Edelbrock heads, Victor intake, 1050 Dominator, and (cough, cough) Crane roller rockers. I'm gonna need at least 650 hp for my pullin" truck.

Yeah, but if no one called you on it, it would forever be here as "information" that someone would pass along.
