Seatbelts...
I bought it and if I get pulled over for it thats exactly what im gonna say. Im
not sure of the law out here for that but most of the cops here wont pull ya
over for stuff like that anyways cause they want to get back to there coffe
and doughnuts.
You'll find out how many laws you break, right quick. ;)
In AZ my '75 is exempt since wearing only a seat belt can do you more harm
than good.
I love my seat belt! :)
It holds my butt in the seat. :)
And it has been doing just-that since Feb of '75. :)
YMMV

The seat belt -including- shoulder strap(!) hurt her in ways that rival your injuries.
The belts also saved her from much worse injuries at the same time tho. :)
Still she broke her heel bone off and her knee cap in half, on one leg.
A friend rolled his Chevy pickup over and if he'd had his plain ol' seat belt on
he'd faired much better. Seat belts alone aren't always better than no seat
belt just as shoulder strap alone can be worse than none (remember the cars
with the automatic shoulder strap? ...my GF's car was one of those and I got
on to her all the time about not putting on her seat belt) the shoulder strap
-alone- is bad to worse than none-at-all in many instances.
Neck injuries can be bad, right? ;)
The shoulder strap in my '91 F150 is a pain in the neck. ;)
The other bad thing about it IMO is the seat belt part of it doesn't hold my butt
in the seat. The sorry sucker is all about safety and not about being useful to
-me- (as a tool) on a daily basis. Something that sort of bothers me about it. :/
YMMV :)
Ever since I got a dune buggy in '75, I've been into seat belts. :)
A year or so later a really-drunk friend of mine took his dune buggy for a test
run one night after several of us had worked on his dune buggy (I was heavy
into into carburetors even back then) and he drove himself back, ran-over! :)
He ran over himself with his own dune buggy! :)
He was too drunk to know what happened exactly. LOL :)
Believe it? :)
