Yeah that sump is something, how bout that? Im going to leave that in there though, as it is a shortbed and i cant transfer tanks. Im going with a 5/8" pickup in mine anyway. My truck does seem to suck out the power of performance items, but i will have more than enough, so it should scoot down the road at a moderately-spirited pace.
No, i am not destroking........I was really turned away from that whole concept after listening to one of my buddy's straight piped 06, sounded like *** to me, however not all of them sound like that.
If the sound was the only thing turning you away, that can pretty much be remidied with the use of a 24V exhaust manifold. Several of the Dodge guys with a CR have put one on there and they said it definately changed the sound to a lot more like the older trucks. Oh well, I think you'll like that 7.3 and your time frame to get that swap done will be a lot shorter. At the rate of my conversion, you may have this thing running before I get mine running.

Can you just transfer the sump from one tank to the other? Nothing wrong with a 5/8" pickup tube either though.
The front right passenger fender is the ONLY body panel without something wrong with it. But, I'll trade you the bed and tailgate for the fender. Good deal? Ok.
