Rusting hood?

One of the aftermarket warehouses in chicago sells a brand new aluminum replacement hood for $218 for the 97-03 f150s /expeditions. I would be hard pressed to pay $700-$800 for a repaired hood which will probably blister later when it could be replaced for much less. Also when searching the chicago pick a part yards I came upon a clean hood in white for $60.

Thanks for the info. I was so discouraged after speaking with Ford that I hadn't started looking at the aftermarket yet. Any chance you can send me a link to the $60 hood?

I just spent 896 dollars to have my tailgate door redone. The guys did a great job.
