Hope I can get some advise from the guru's out there concerning rust between the panels that make up the hood on my '73 Mustang. I know it's not a truck, but I do have a '77 and a '79 F150 4X4, so don't beat me too bad!
The hood's exposed surfaces are in good shape. The surface rust has started forming in between the support panel and the top panel. I can't get to the problem by hand. Without grinding the edges and separating the panels, is there a suitable fix for this? I would really like to save this original hood if at all possible.
Thanks for any assistance, suggestions, and criticism!
try a sand blaster ,then coat with a good sealer dont prime with a primer because its not a moisture barrier and moisture seems to be your problem. after it is sealed then prime and paint .hopefuly this will work for you.
