I have a 54 F-100. The leading edge of the hood is rusted away. I can find weld-in replacements for the edge but not the piece that is spot welded under the edge of the hood that the latch pin is attached to. Someone had posted a link to some venders around 2 months ago. The vender had the leading edge, the two V shaped pieces that go on the sides and the bottom piece. I did not save the link and have not been able to find that vender. Does anyone know what I am talking about and were I can find the parts.

WELCOME 54fordpickup-
You can probably get those items from MidFifty in Phoenix (www.midfifty.com), Dennis Carpenter (dennis-carpenter.comm) or Sacramento Vintage Ford.
BTW, I would strongly recommend against the idea of removing the lead edge and the support angle at the same time. There will be nothing to maintain the lead edge shape. I would also leave the hood rods in place while patching the lead edge. Then deal with the angle.
