Bought the Tymar DP in spring can't find instruction sheet ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Where do yo put the fire wall bends when installing a 3-4 " Tymar DP? Does the fire wall insulation stay or get tossed?

Thanks

Mark the firewall where the old DP passes by the weld seam.

i kept all of the insulation on my firewall. you can snake the top piece through and see where it hits. I think that i used the block of wood and pry bar method. I really didn't have to bend the seem all that much. the clearance remains very tight and it take a bit of fussing with to line the two pieces up but once you flatten the pinch seem it should fit nicely. dont forget to leave out the first hanger or else you will get a lot of in cab resonance

Cuda Jim Thanks I got it in was more fustrateing than work , done just the same....... I did not cut instead I used a long wrecking bar and kind of smoothed out the seam, its still a tight fit but does not hit the fire wall. I thought I'd get a little turbo whistle but not , must be that darn cat I left in for inspection purposes..........

Thanks again

Still have my Cat on and the turbo sings pretty darn good. Of course I did put the 6637 intake on first. Also my MAP sensor hose was clogged up not allowing the turbo to spool properly.

I think he was referring to a Lap Joint Band Clamp instead of the crusher style.... like in the picture.

Thanks Cuda, but looking at the pictures of the install it looks like the lap joint style may be more difficult to get at for the install, any opinions as to ease of install and it is it realy any better?
