Here's mine. Not a real good picture of the mounting though. I have them mounted in the fuse panel cover, in a piece of stainless steel that angles them out at the bottom so I can see them.
how much did that setup run? not bein too nosy or nothin but i would like 4 even if i dont use them all right now ha ha

OK, all kidding aside, that is sweeeeeeet. Need to get my hands on a set of those.
Kevin, if your lights are on all the time you need to move the hot wire around to the other terminal. They should only iluminate when on. Should have 3 connections move them around a little and see if it doesnt change for you.
i'll try that. i thought they should only illuminate when on, but i'm no electrician. i mean i can install stereos and whatnot, but for some reason, switches and relays etc, were always trial and error, sometimes more error than not
I went for the hidden look. I dont have a pic but its not hard to explain.
If you take off the cover that your knees hit when you're driving, they have a horizontal metal bar with holes in it. I just installed mmy switch faced down. I know it's there and it isnt hard to find, but best of all it's totaly hidden
My park lights were on the picture. The little bar lights red when they are on. Shane has them in many different configurations. He is the cheapset you will find these Carling Rocker switches with the symbols on them. Anywhere else has minimum orders for them. Dont know what I would have done with 99 more of each of these switches! HA HA. I've had them for awhile. Think all in all I had $60 in them. Cant really remember though. I had to have them for the symbols. Behind the panel it looked like an explosion in a spagahetti factory until I elimenated some wires and got some twist apart plugs from work to make it so I could undo the plugs and pull the panel out.

They should only be illuminated when turned on. I think you may have the ground on the hot. on the switch I have it says ground, load, hot. When I turn it on it illuminates. Ground is on the top so top is the on position. Does what your using the switch for work or is it on or off all the time?
This is where I installed mine at:
FWIW, the upfitter switches will fit with a little motivation, but the harness will have to be modified to make it work.
I had to take apart the ash tray and just use skeleton structure of it. The killer part is that when I close the ash tray, all switches will be switched off. I made a harness to go to the back and of them. There is quite a bit of space back there. I am only using 3 of the 4 right now. If you are really interested I can go get some more picutres of the wire routes and stuff. Been a while since I have done anything with them.
